Hi, I’m Carah! A native of Potomac, Maryland and proud former cast member at Walt Disney World Resort, I spent years working on Capitol Hill designing, planning, and executing some of the highest profile events in national politics, including the State of the Union, a Presidential Inauguration, and Pope Francis’ historic address to Congress.
 
After saying goodbye to Washington, I relocated to Chicago with my husband, where my passion for event design found its natural and surprising pivot to interior design, leading to the founding of Carah Shapiro Interiors in 2021.
 
My passion is transforming your space to be equally cozy yet elevated. Whether you are designing your home or filling out a rental, no matter the scale or budget of your project, we will make your dream space a reality.
